Artist Intro

Taylor Marie Contarino is an LA-Based songwriter who attends the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California. She is from Southern New Jersey, and moved to LA to study journalism and music industry at her dream school of USC.

Taylor grew up writing all sorts of things- from newspaper articles, to radio blurbs, to poems, to journalistic pieces, to more creative pieces, to press pieces, and so on, so forth. Her love for writing is all-consuming, and she first began to blend her love for writing with her passion for music during the COVID-19 Pandemic, when she began using the extra time to dedicate to music blogging, songwriting, and journaling. She now consistently writes music and writes about music, having contributed to blogs such as Sheesh Media, When I Make It To LA Magazine, The Daily Orange, Annenberg Media, and Heartfelt Hip-Hop.

Her love for the written word and her love for music began merging, and has led her to hoping to pursue songwriting full time, while continuing to study music and journalism at USC Annenberg and USC Thornton.

She began releasing music in March of 2022 under the name of Taylor Marie on all distributing platforms. She is currently unsigned and spends most of her time writing music, collaborating with other musicians, and collecting songwriting material. She is working on perfecting her craft constantly, and hopes to become a professional songwriter in the future, writing for the likes of her favorite R&B, hip-hop, and pop artists.

Her music is inspired by artists such as Kiana Lede, Kehlani, Ella Mai, Frank Ocean, Dreezy, Summerella, Sydney Renae, Jhene Aiko, Summer Walker, and many more.
